Terms of Service

Mavik Ventures ("Mavik," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Site for informational and business development purposes related to our talent acquisition services. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

If you are entering into a separate written agreement with Mavik (for example, a recruiting services agreement), those contract terms control for the subject matter they cover, and these Terms apply to the Site itself except where they explicitly conflict.

Mavik Ventures delivers B2B talent acquisition services for technology companies, including embedded recruiting, targeted search, team building, interim talent, executive search, and related talent strategy support. The Site describes those offerings at a high level and provides a way to contact us.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, nothing on the Site constitutes an offer to provide services, guarantees a particular hiring outcome, or creates an employment relationship with Mavik. Specific scope, fees, exclusivity, and deliverables are defined only in executed agreements between Mavik and the client.

You agree that you will:

• Provide accurate, professional information when you contact us or submit forms on the Site.
• Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with other users, compromise security, or attempt unauthorized access to systems, data, or networks.
• Not scrape, harvest, or automate access to the Site in a way that burdens infrastructure or bypasses reasonable access controls, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Respect confidentiality obligations that may apply to recruiting processes, including candidate identities and client hiring plans shared with you in confidence.

Site content.The Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

No professional advice. Materials on the Site are for general business information and may not reflect the most current market or legal developments. The Site does not constitute legal, HR, tax, or investment advice; you should consult qualified professionals for guidance tailored to your situation.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mavik and its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or (b) the amounts you paid Mavik specifically for Site-related services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, if any.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

The Site and its contents—including text, graphics, logos, layout, and compilation—are owned by Mavik Ventures or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print reasonable portions of the Site for internal business use, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Site except with our prior written consent or as permitted by law.

References to client names, trademarks, or logos on the Site may be used to describe prior work; such references do not imply endorsement by those third parties unless expressly stated.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require application of another jurisdiction's laws, except that U.S. federal law may apply where applicable.

Except where prohibited by law, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Mavik regarding the Site and supersede any prior understandings on the same subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
